A good way to experience Scandinavian Village is to try out an apartment with us. By spending a few weeks here and taking part in all the activities on offer, you will have the opportunity to feel whether you are comfortable with us. We help you find the right one! Regardless of whether you are looking for a smaller or larger apartment, we will give you suggestions based on your search criteria. The easiest thing is to fill in the form here on the website, then we know what you are looking for and can help you quickly.

Bidding

The prices of our apartments are, as in the nordic countries, set according to size, condition and location. When you have found the apartment you wish to buy, you present an offer to the seller. We work with fixed prices, but as always there is the possibility of negotiation.

Renovation

At Scandinavian Village we have in-house renovation help! Khun Tong and his team do everything from small jobs to complete renovations. If you get stuck with an apartment you like the location of but which needs updating, the team is ready to help. The reception has a price list of what different works cost. You get a lot for your money and the jobs are done during the spring and summer when we Scandinavians are usually not there.

Financing

Our advice is to have the financing ready before you go to Scandinavian Village on a viewing trip. Should the right feeling arise, you then have the opportunity to act immediately. It is not possible to mortgage the Thai residence, the most common alternative is to mortgage your permanent residence at home.

The seller disclaims

The starting point is that the apartment is sold in its existing condition, taking into account age and price.

In Sweden, real estate agents work with a so-called ¨question List¨ – a valuable document for both sellers and buyers. Here, the seller fills in relevant information about the home in order to disclose any defects, renovations, etc. We at Scandinavian Village have chosen to use a questionnaire in connection with sales. Should you buy your apartment without first looking at it, the list of questions is extra valuable to have.

Ownership

In Thailand, you are not allowed to own land in the same way as we are used to in Sweden. Only persons with Thai citizenship may do so. Foreigners are therefore normally referred to leasing land in the short or long term for the construction of their residence.

Our company registered in Thailand, Scandinavian Village Co Ltd, owns our property with no element of Thai ownership through a special permit from the Thai authorities. Through our ownership of shares in the company, we have unlimited access to our apartments.
